Because if that happens it means they will have won their division and won their wildcard playoff game as the 3 seed and that is who the Steelers would face in their first playoff game on divisional weekend. I think that would be the easiest road looking at things right now. Have the Colts beat the winner of the horrific AFC West and play the Titans as the lower seed being the 5, and have Miami win the East next week by beating the Jets and winning their playoff game against either the Ravens or the Patriots. Like I have been saying all along today being the 2 seed might be a blessing in disguise and might give the Steelers an easier divisional game their first playoff game and give the Titans as the 1 seed a much tougher game because this year in the AFC the lower seeded teams the 5 and 6 seeds are much much better then the 3 and 4 seeded division winners. Once again root for the Miami Dolphins to win their next 2 so we see Chad Pennington and Joey Porter our first playoff game.

Even if Miami gets the #3 seed they still have to play the #6 seed which is most likely the Gayvens.

Gayvens vs Steelers.

Yea but the Ravens wont play the Steelers even if they win as the 6 seed because the 6 seed never plays the 2 seed in the first divisional game. The 6 seed if they win their playoff game plays the 1 seed all of the time which would mean should the Ratbirds win they would play in Tennessee. Then that means the Steelers would meet the winner of the SD/Denver versus Indy wildcard game should the Ravens win as the 6 seed. Still too early to tell but if you're going to root for anybody to play first and a possible first game opponent for the Steelers it would be Miami.
