View Full Version : Who to root for... Dallas... Baltimore?

I am torn between who I would rather see miss the playoffs. Normally I root for 2 teams every Sunday, the Steelers and whoever happens to be playing Dallas. I hate the Cowboys and get almost as much pleasure seeing them lose as I do when the Steelers win. Goes back to the 70's and their claims as America's team while the Boys dominated the headlines our team dominated on the field. The loss to them in the SB in 95 was painful and I'm still not over it! That blemish on our SB record is still a thorn in my side.

Then there are the Rat-turds our biggest rival in the AFC North. I hate them too! Ray-Ray and his band of cheap-shot artist thugs they call a defense inspire my darkest thoughts.

I guess it might just be a win-win kind of scenario. Whichever team loses I will revel in the after game misery that will accompany the thoughts of their season being over!

Does that make me a bad person? :reddevil:

:hilarious:

I wouldnt mind cowboys winning this one. If for nothing else, then for the playoff scenario. I would rather not have to play Ravens again.. Those games are way to close. We can take care of Cowboys in SB! :)

As much as I hate the cowgirls I want them to win this one for the simple fact that we wouldn't see dallis till the SB. If they make it. We all know how Tony homo chokes in the playoffs. :yesnod:

The Steelers did knock off Cleveland a few years back 3 times... twice during the season then in the playoffs! The playoff game was crazy!!!!

Gotta root for Dallas here. Not that I'm going to be rooting for Dallas, but I'm rooting against Baltimore. Dallas won't make the playoffs. I think the Eagles take their spot, I believe if the Eagles win out and Atlanta loses one.. Philly is in.

Did that twice.. the one you refer to happened in '02. Also happened in '94 (the year the Bolts beat us in the AFCC game). I still have the '02 game on my DVD. I have the '94 game on VHS somewhere.

I doubt we see the Ratbirds again if they win, they're not used to being in the playoffs on a regular basis, throw in a rookie QB and you got another 1 and done.

Like you said,,,,not rooting for cryboys,,,,but for the rats to lose :yellowthumb:

Heard on sirius if Tampa or Atlanta loses one and Philly wins out "they'll be in"

Rats out and then Philly knocks the Cow http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/smostle/smileys/pileofsteamingshxt01-1.gif out,,,,,would be a nice X-Mas http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/smostle/smileys/trinken-bier-mehr-davon.gif

I didn't know the game could end in a tie. What do they do in the playoffs or Super Bowl?

I really don't care who wins, But it looks like the Ravens may win, or maybe they will blow it again in the last minute!

that was an awesome playoff game........all happened in the 4th quarter. The amount of "Steeler fans" that left that game thinking we lost was huge and a lil embarassing also.

doesn't much matter now, the cowboys defense blew it in the last 3 minutes of the game giving up those 2 long runs...that was the worse defense ever....you stack all 11 guys in the box and still can't make the tackle.

This win tonight by the Ravens should the Steelers win tomorrow in Tennessee and lock up the number 1 for all practical purposes really sets up a possible 3rd meeting between the Ravens and the Steelers in the playoffs. I say this because the Ravens would be the 6 seed and should they win their wildcard game which there is a pretty good chance that they will the way things look now, they would play the number 1 seed in the playoffs which of course would be the Steelers should they end up winning in Tennessee tomorrow and all but locking it down barring a loss to the Browns the following week.

Wasnt that Chris Fu taking the draw up the middle in the snow for the game winning TD?

Bring em on! I don't think the Ravens strike fear into the hearts of our players. Both teams know each other well and we would have the 12th man. I like our chances! :yesnod:

Nope, they'll just keep playing untill a winner is found in playoff games :)

If that's the case even if we lose today, the Ratbirds would than play Tennessee (assuming they win the wildcard) and beat them. We win our first game and the AFC Championship game will be Steelers-Ratbirds in Pittsburgh! I would love it! There's one small problem with both of these senerios. The Ravens will never get past the Colts. I would almost like the second seed better. Play the Broncos in first game, than the Colts in the championship game because I think they will beat the Ravens and the Titans.

Thanks I'll let Donovan know that! ;)
