View Full Version : AZ_Steeler Power Rankings - Week 7

10-17-2006, 05:15 AM
The rankings are starting to get harder now, especially with 3 winless teams finally getting their for "W" this past weekend. I struggled through it though and here is what I have...

Rank (LW)|Team|Comments
1 (1) |Bears (6-0)|Came from 20 down to win the game and they don't even score an offensive touchdown.
2 (2) |Colts (5-0)|Bye week.
3 (3) |Patriots (4-1)|Bye week.
4 (6) |Seahawks (4-1)|Wasn't pretty but they keep finding ways to win.
5 (8) |Saints (5-1)|What can you say? They do look good right now!
6 (10) |Broncos (4-1)|Can't deny that they have an awesome defense.
7 (11) |Chargers (4-1)|Dismantled a team that good teams should.
8 (4) |Eagles (4-2)|IMO, they took a surprising Saints team for granted.
9 (9) |Jaguars (3-2)|Bye week.
10 (5) |Falcons (3-2)|The Falcons have now dropped two straight, have they been exposed?
11 (7) |Bengals (3-2)|A 62 yard field goal!!!
12 (12) |Vikings (3-2)|Bye week.
13 (14) |Panthers (4-2)|Since the return of Smith the Panthers are back in the thick of things.
14 (15) |Giants (3-2)|One week their good the next week their bad. Look for a loss next week ;)
15 (17) |Cowboys (3-2)|TO returned! Was it pity or did the Tuna realize TO is the man?
16 (19) |Steelers (2-3)|Complete domination for 60 minutes! Big Ben is back! :tt02:
17 (13) |Ravens (4-2)|I'm not hearing much about the Ravens from the media now!
18 (16) |Rams (4-2)|Let one slip away in Seattle.
19 (22) |Jets (3-3)|Held on barely at the end to get their win.
20 (18) |Chiefs (2-3)|Larry who? It's time for the Chiefs to rebuild their offensive line.
21 (20) |Redskins (2-4)| They lost to the Titans!
22 (21) |Bills (2-4)|Just when you think they might show some life they drop one to the Lions!
23 (30) |Buccaneers (1-4)|They get extra brownie points for beating the Bengals.
24 (29) |Titans (1-5)|Could their win over the Redskins be the turning point of their season?
25 (26) |Dolphins (1-5)|Wide Right!!! To be so close and let it slip away.
26 (23) |Cardinals (1-5)|Two weeks in a row they have surrendered a 14+ point lead.
27 (27) |Packers (1-4)|Bye week.
28 (28) |Browns (1-4)|Bye week.
29 (31) |Lions (1-5)|Listen to those Lions roar! Very impressive
30 (24) |Texans (1-4)|Forgot to come out of the locker room after halftime.
31 (25) |49ers (2-4)|It's obvious their two wins this season were flukes.
32 (32) |Raiders (0-5)|:dunno: Moss showed some fire for about 5 minutes but it fizzled pretty quick.

Good rankings, dude. Very good.

I think I would have the Panthers a little higher up but other than that it looks pretty good AZ.

My Panthers ranking bothered me too, but at the same time I didn't want to penalize the Vikings for a bye week. I guess I could have switched the Panthers and Bengals :bigthumb: I'll keep that in mind for next week ;)

The Bengals pulled a stuck on stupid out of the hat with that 62 yarder joke of the year. NO WAY!!!

I hate bye weeks when trying to figure out these things, it just complicates the issue way to much. I think I'd swap the Cowboys and Giants though if only because the Giants just underachieve way to much. The Cowboys arent much better but Parcells is a much better coach than Coughlin.

Nice job :yesnod:

Good Rankings but the eagles are a little too high

10-17-2006, 04:28 PM
The eagles can't keep going like this. McNabb can't carry this whole team all year long. they don't run the ball virtually at all and sooner or later it's going to cost them. It's kind of a log jam with the eagles, falcons, jags, and bengals. They are all good, but none of them seem to seperate themselves from the pack.

Stallworth has been out with a nagging hamstring injury and he was big time for the Eagles before going down with the injury. I think once he gets back then the Eagles will be able to open it up again.

Some interesting scenarios are taking place this weekend with my Rankings:

#11 Bengals vs #13 Panthers
#15 Giants vs #16 Cowboys

These 4 teams should be easy to rank next week :bigthumb:

Bengals are going to get majorly exposed on the secondary. Steve Smith and KeyShawn Johnson are going to have big days against them.
