Sorry that my first post has bad news, but the news on other forums is that his 4-year-old son was just diagnosed with leukemia and just had a shunt placed to receive chemotherapy, and he wants to be with him right now.

This is very sad. Please remember them in your thoughts and prayers.

Hopefully, the media will leave them alone.

If that is indeed the case we will definitely keep him in our thoughts and prayers, a adult going through this is bad enough but for a child it's terrifying. We'll hope that the treatments go well!

Prayers are powerful.

Many prayers go out to his son and the rest of his family from my family.

If there was a God .... why would he do this to someone? .... Especially a child?

Just a thought.

Regardless .... he's in my thoughts and prayers.

There is a God no question about that (it's called faith). As to your other questions there are many answers. I would like to thank you for your post because it reminds me that I need to spend more time with people that have better answers to questions such as this.

if there is no God who are you praying to?

This is sad, but sadly it's part of life. It can't all be good, sometimes there just has to be some bad.

Dear God, I can't even imagine trying to be strong while that was happening to one of my children. You reaaly find out a lot about someone in that kind of situation. It proves what people have said all along about Aaron Smith. He is a class act.

Elijah and the rest of your family are in my prayers Aaron.....
