Sitting around truck stop,"bored as hell" Thinking about those gadget plays and i really miss'em

Thought he was a very good OC and I'd like to see Tomlin throw a few gadgets in there,,,,,,,,,,,Just don't put Ben at wideout

Just figured i'd get some feedback on what everyone would like to see from the "O"

I miss him some yeah, I liked our offense under Whiz but I do like the use of more TE's now with Arians. I'll reserve full judgement till later in the season when we see if Ben gets to be turned loose for the rest of the year of if Arians goes back to his boring predictable self.

They tried all that tricky stuff in the preseason and it didn't work :D I miss it a little bit... it helps keeps a defense honest.

I don't really miss the Hunt. Arians can do a different kind of job after the break though. I like the no huddle. That is an approach that keeps the defense honest, and could open up some Arians gadget plays. You know he has got to have em. We have not seen em yet. We must be savin stuff for when it really counts. Thats the way i see it. I do like the gadget plays........specially when they work.

For real though I liked the job that Whiz did when he was here, I like his mixture of trick plays that kept defenses on their toes. We just had a problem with not only injuries but the line playing like **** and the offense allowing Ben to get killed, combine that with Ben being less experienced at the time and it all kinda went south. I'd like to think he would have worked well with Tomlin but I think he may have had too much Cowher in him for his own good to stick around under the new regime.

I'll give ya that Steel Brother, but i remember him and Bill on the sideline many times in disagreement. Ron was older and he was serving under a young headcoach at the time.
Ron was a former headcoach himself, and i don't know what happenned there.

I really liked Gailey as our OC.....Kordell had his best year when Gailey was his OC....Whisenhunt wasn't bad and did a very good as OC......I'm still not sold on Bruce Arians....

I wanted Ken Whisenhunt to get the coaching job from day 1. I never wanted Russ Grimm to get it. But I will say this, I will trade Mike Tomlin and Larry Zierlein for those 2 guys anyday.

Whiz's problem was he that he had too much of Cowher in him and Tomlin knew it wasn't going to work regardless of what was said during the hiring process. Ken is doing a good job in Arizona and I'm happy for him. He did a good job here too. I wonder how he would have adapted had Tomlin kept him on, I guess we'll never know but I would imagine it may have been a clash for awhile atleast.
