View Full Version : Steelers vs Browns Poem (09/14/08)

On a night full of remnants of Hurricane Ike
We renewed the rivalry across the turnpike

Is it really a rivalry when you've won 10 in a row?
But they're in our division so we still have to go

We love to visit Cleveland - it's a home away from home
Steelers fans are everywhere though whether stadium or dome

Nothing much was happening in the beginning
Both teams exchanging punts - no one was winning

In the second quarter a pass was dropped by Ward
Ben came right back to him for the only touchdown scored

Hines made us laugh without making a sound
"Marking his territory" in the Dawg Pound

As the half was ending - the Browns had a shot
But then Troy intercepted - so oops maybe not

As the game continued it got a little more exciting
Bad calls and hits on Ben but the Steelers kept fighting

Meanwhile the Browns mismanaged the clock
And proved to all who watched they can't back up their talk

Don't feel sorry for these Browns - they dug their own hole
They finally cracked the Steelers 20 - Coach says kick a field goal

We've beat them 10 times in a row but it never gets old
But I could do without the close ones if truth be told

Next on the schedule is Philly - so we'll travel across the state
We'll have to bring our A game - last night they looked great

Sunday afternoon will be Pennsylvania - East vs West
Let's show those Eagles Black and Gold is the best!
