:iagree:

Wood had a real good game for us, Harrison was beasting though if they are just going by stats alone.

woodley basically created everything harrison did though, the dude is a man-child and just dominated on every play. a sack, a pick, a FR, and constant pressure all day is a special game

that's what you gotta like about Wood, we finally have somebody who is a legit pass rusher opposite Harrison. Before that we had Porter but nobody else. It's great to have 2 guys that can go at it because you can't double both of them. I expect to see double digit sacks out of both of these guys this year for sure, about 15 a piece would do nicely I think :D. It's not out of the realm of possibility. harrison is good for atleast 13-15 this year(he better be) and Wood for atleast 10 minimum possibly 13. who knows what this duo might be capable of.

I dunno if you noticed, but he was totally unblocked on that blitz.

On a side note, has anyone seen Fury? I havent seen him on here since ICS started slobbing on Obama's nuts.

But Woodley consistently gets pressure if he is blocked our not...He is always pushing his man backwards due to his strength....He is going to get his share of unblocked sacks no doubt....But evern Greg Lloyd, Keven Greene, Jason Gildon and Joey Porter have their share of unblocked sacks....I could see Woodley passing Gildon on the Steelers all time sack list if he remains a Steeler his whole career.....

Jason Gildon had 5 sacks his first two years with the Steelers...Woodley already has matched that with 15 games to go in his second year....

lol...the only reason i even said anything was b/c that particular sack was unblocked...i think wood is a beast personally. I wanted to buy a woodley jersey, but thy didnt have one on ebay.

Gildon was playing behind Greene & Lloyd though for the first few years and then when they left he took over. I'd imagine Gildon could have 20-30 more sacks added to his credentials had he gotten more playing time early on.

You are right though about Wood, just having him and Harrison on the field together is going to cause matchup problems for the offensive line. You can't double team them both all the time so somebody is bound to get free. I can't wait to see Wood start laying the Wood this week against DA :D

You have a point Top and I half agree with it....Gildon wouldn't have played much his rookie year anyway....Since it usually takes a year for a young former DE to learn to play OLB in our defense....So really all Gildon lost was his second year playing behind Greene/Lloyd.....
