Nope, no reason to bring him in, we're not looking for a long term answer to punting all we need is a 1 yr stop gap till Sep gets healthy. We'll make sure with one of the 2 we have on the roster now more than likely.

Berger will get the nod over Ernster he had a little bit better preseason and has more experience and is just a better punter overall.

I wouldn't mind Berger as long as his leg can last through the whole season and he doesn't fizzle out come December like Gardocki did  Although hopefully with our offense we won't have to punch all that much. :crossfingers:

December? Gardocki was crap come the middle of October. Though, as we were constantly reminded, he never had a blocked punt. He did have a partial block, by the way.

Not that it matters. Signed by Green Bay who in turn cut a very good young punter in Jon Ryan.

Hang on i've missed something here.

How the hell has Sepulva managed to end up on Injured reserve and not make the final 53 man squad????????

He tore is ACL and is done for the year so there is no chance he will play. So rather than have him count towards the 53 man roster they can place him on IR to protect him and use his roster spot for someone else.

Wow it sounds like you need to check the Steelers talk section more often

Berger is going to be solid for us this year, his leg should hold out just long enough to last till the end of the season.
