Did anyone else notice this ?

Cowher also yanked wide receiver Cedrick Wilson for the Steelers' third series and went with No. 1 pick Santonio Holmes.

And when tight end Heath Miller struggled on blocking, backup Jerame Tuman was summoned on third down in Miller's place to help get in linebacker Shawne Merriman's way.

This shows nobody's job is safe and if somebody isn't producing then it's someone elses turn if there's a viable backup option. No Jerame won't permantly replace Heath but if he needed help blocking Merriman, then so be it.

Holmes may get alot more playing time since Cedric hasn't been producing so that bears watching.

Dude Cedric Wilson needs to go. This guy has done nothing since being a Steeler. Sure he had a nice post-season last year. But the whole team had a nice post-season. But Wilson isn't a very good WR plain and simple. I think Cowher should go with Washington and Holmes over Wilson. Move Wilson to the 4th WR spot.

As good as a TE as Heath, even he had problems blocking Merriman. It's not knock on him, most blockers have a tough time with him. He brought in Jerame to help out and keep Merriman's pash rush at bay.

That is so true. But you know whats funny? I remeber when we drafted Heath Miller and ESPN was showing highlight film of Heath Miller when he was drafted. The highlight was of him blocking and dominating Shawn Merriman when Virginia played Maryland.

Havent you noticed him being phased out a little? Holmes is making nice catches and he will be promoted soon.

Holmes has been looking good lately and is finally starting to come around! It's just a matter of time before this offense really strats clicking and only then will we trully see how good Holmes is!

We've got alot of young talent, once that develops we could be beastly at WR.

Ward, Washington, Holmes, and Reid can be a force to be wreckonded with for years to come.
