PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Ricardo Colclough will miss the rest of the season because of a neck injury.

Colclough, a third-year player, was placed on the team's injured reserve list, the Steelers said Saturday. Rookie cornerback Anthony Madison was promoted to the active roster.

Colclough was not scheduled to play Sunday in San Diego because of a nerve problem in his neck. Colclough's muffed punt led to Cincinnati's decisive touchdown in a 28-20 victory in Pittsburgh on Sept. 24

What are the chances that this means Chidi comes back?

From what I'm hearing from LITP at SF, no shot. He said that Chidi signed with the Patriots.

I hate to say this but this should be the end of Coke's career, at least with us. No, I'm not referring to the fumble on the punt, I'm talking about the previous three years of showing us absolutely nothing.

Looks like Reid will probably be the regular punt returner for us now. He and Holmes sharing the return duties in the kicking game should be good. Unless some drastic happens Im not sure we'll have him back next year either. On a personal level I hope he recovers and is able to lead a normal life, and play again;.....

for someone else.

Yep, I hope he does, but more then likely, I don't see his normal life continuing after this season with the Steelers.

I still say Colclough's injury is total B.S. and Cowher is just trying to save face for having Colclough as the punt returner. But anyway see ya Ricardo and don't let the door hit you on the way out. What a waste of a second round pick. Which also sucks we traded up for this bum.

Hes the same situation as former packer and first round pick carrol.

BTW, those damn patriots clean up our former DBs huh.

Yep, Alexander If I'm not mistaken did go to the Patriots. I guess New England needs to pick up former Steelers to win. Just my 2 cents worth.:2cents:

Brent Alexander went to the Giants first because he followed Tim Lewis when he left Pittsburgh to be the coach there.

is there any info as to what the problem with his neck is? It just seems really odd

I think you read my mind!....lol They keep saying he has a neck injury but don't say what it is. They have been way to quiet about it if you ask me.

It is odd that nobody has any more information other than that it happened during practice. You'd think they would give updates on his condition and prognosis for the future.

That's what I think is wierd about this. There was no mention of anything wrong with him and then all of a sudden he has a serious neck injury. I am curious as to what happened and how he is doing.
I do believe this is the end of his career in Pittsburgh, I can't say that upsets me too much, however, I never want to see something like this happen to anyone (even if I can't stand them)
I hope all goes well with him and wish him the best of luck with recovery and maybe his career inthe future.

It's definantly odd in my opinion. What the heck is going on here.
