I know it doesn`t sound like much, but the Pirates are just a couple games under .500. This is huge for them in mid-June. Great teams would think tis record sucks, be we`ve been waiting so long for a descent team , that this is very encouraging.
Lets Go Bucs!

You're right. At this point in past seasons the Pirates were already done. They somewhat have a chance at the playoffs.

Yeah but every year about this time the Pirates get close to .500... now there is going to be some trade that's going to send a "star" Pirate somewhere else and then they'll finish 20 games below 500 :dunno:

( If I say it's going to happen then it won't :D )

30-30 is as close as we have been in quite some time... Then we went into Yankee stadium and got swept and that was all she wrote for the rest of the season. I would say playoffs are out of the question, but considering that the pitching has been **** poor and the hitting has been just ok, if we get it together .500 is not out of the question yet... Also the previous management team were the ones that did the bad deals, the current management has not made any significant bad decisions yet so I at least am giving them the benefit of the doubt so far.

This will make my dad (dako) happy. We are going to see the pirates play the orioles on father's day in baltimore. It will be his bachelor party, too.

Had a great time at the game on Sunday.....(my bachelor party kickoff).....If not for the late comebacks by the orioles, we'd be over .500... I like how the team is playing lately and feel confident that we can finally make that .500 mark
