John Clayton (http://www.kffl.com/link/125), of ESPN.com (http://www.kffl.com/link/9), reports the Pittsburgh Steelers (http://www.kffl.com/team/30/nfl) have been given $3,719,450 to sign their seven draft picks from the 2008 NFL Draft (http://www.kffl.com/link/159).Not sure if i understand what this is, Rookie Pool. anyone care to help me out.:scratch:

I believe that each team is allocated a certain amount of money based on the CBA and final regular season standings to help sign the rookies and to help with the salary cap. Don't quote me on that :greengrin:

Depending where you were on the draft board determined how much you got....

yeah that's what you get to help you sign your draft picks. Obviously you don't just only that amount but it's an incentive to help sign as many players as you can with it.

Mendenhall's signing bonus alone will be more than that :lol:
