View Full Version : Starting Linebacking Crew?

From what I've, Bruce Davis is an amazing athlete but how do you think hes going to fit into our defensive scheme? I'm guessing hes going to spend his first year primarily on special teams but we still have Timmons on STs and as backup OLB to Woodley/Harrison. Currently we're looking at Harrison at ROLB, Foote and Farrior on the inside, and Woodley most likely starting at LOLB unless they possible move Harrison to the inside? Thoughts?

He's going to take time to develop. Being a LB in the Steelers system is not the easiest thing in the world to pick up. He will be a ST ace for us this year and probably get some work in the rotation at OLB in certain situations. He's got the physical tools to be special and the potential to have a big time impact if he progresses and learns our defense the way he needs to. Plus he's got a definite nasty streak in him which is great for a LB on our team as we well know.

I say Harrison, Farrior, Foote, and Woodley as the starters this year....But Timmons will play in sub packages and sub at all LB spots this year....Then next year I see Timmons starting at ILB and Davis getting more playing time next year....In 2010 I would hope that Davis, Timmons and Woodley are all starting......Possibly with Harrison moving inside...
