I hope one of the DL is a diamond in the rough...I doubt it though.....I think Doug Legursky could compete for a spot....I would expect Dorien Bryant to get a shot at the kick returns....He has kick return ability....Doesn't Travis Williams have some kick return ability also?

Would be nice to give Moore some competition for the kick return duties...

Dorien Bryant could be our #1 return man. Also went to high school 15 minutes from where I live = awesome.

Micah Rucker is an interesting pick. I don't know much about him but damn he's taller than Plax and just as big when he was here.

I think Legursky could have an impact, he's very versitale. In the hula bowl he played guard and center, some scouts said he was a better guard than the actual guards. He also has longsnapping abilities. I live three houses down from him. I've never talked to him but now i definatley will

Well let him know about SA and we'll see if maybe he'd willing to answer some questions via email for us about what it's like being a FA now with the Steelers, etc. ;)

2 DTs and a C? Well hopefully the C will be able to play wherever we need him, and hopefully one of the DTs will turn out to be decent backup material.

Martavius Prince was pretty good a USM but then again that is the conference USA who knows what he'll do at the next level. I know that Woods kid played all types of ****..OLB,QB,S. I've never seen him play but i'm sure we can use him somewhere.

Yeah once in 10 years. Tony Romo, Antonio Gates, Priest Holmes, London Fletcher, Jeff Garcia, Mike Vanderjagt, Adam Vinatieri, etc. I mean I guess these guys all suck because they went undrafted.

Adarius Bowman (FA to the Eagles) went undrafted due to his 40 time but will be a hell of a player.

Maybe a Hank Fraley-type guy? Fraley was always chubby as all hell, but was solid for the Eagles after we cut him.

dude legursky is a rock i would love for him to be our starting center or guard in couple years. Om really excited about these players cause the Steelers really know when somebody has potential (Willie Parker) is a prime example

I was lobbying for Legursky for months so I'm glad he is a Steeler and will get his chance...He has the strength and the attitude to succeed....He will never be a great player but I would settle for him just being solid...Of course he has to prove himself and make the team first.....I know I will be rooting for him...:tt02:

Woods, who led the Cowboys in tackles last season with 82 total, six tackles for loss, two sacks, an interception, and two forced fumbles, was also the Defensive MVP in Oklahoma State's 49-33 win over Indiana in the Insight Bowl.

Woods, who is 6-2, 235 pounds, also played quarterback and safety during his Cowboy career. Several teams had shown interest in Woods who tested well on the OSU Pro Day, but it was the Steelers that employ a 3-4 defense that made the strong move to sign the former Millwood High School star from Oklahoma City.

With his size and athletic ability, he would be a hard hitting S for our D.

The Steelers signed another rookie free agent who is a defensive end -- Kyle Clement of Northwood University, a Division II school in Midland, Mich. Clement (6-4, 286) had 50.5 tackles for losses and 20.5 sacks in 45 career games at Northwood. He is the third defensive lineman signed as an undrafted free agent by the Steelers.

We all pretty much figured they were going to hit the UDFA market pretty hard especially for interior lineman. I've heard some good things about this watched him play once so he could be something special. Most time these guys don't do a whole lot but we do occasionally find some diamonds in the rough ;)

The Steelers added a 13th undrafted free agent to their roster Wednesday when they signed defensive lineman Kyle Clement.

Clement starred at Northwood University, a Division II school in Michigan, and earned all-conference recognition three consecutive years.
He started 33 of 45 games and finished his career with 20 1/2 sacks and 50 1/2 tackles for losses.
Clement and the rest of the Steelers will participate in the mini camp that starts Friday and runs through Sunday.

Tomlin is really pouring on the pass rushers and run stoppers in the UDFA market. HOpefully we can get atleast get some of these guys to be able to make an impact for us.

The QB Potts has a chance to make the practice squad if Dixon starts the season on the PUP list and he can beat out Zabransky, not likely but a chance. We only had three QB who could throw and you need 4 for camp so they had to sign someone.

Steelers release rookie punt returner
Friday, May 02, 2008
By Ed Bouchette, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
The Steelers released their first rookie, one of their most promising undrafted players.

Dorien Bryant, a punt returner from Purdue, failed his physical. The Steelers likely will sign someone to replace him. They did not say why he failed.

Several teams competed with the Steelers after the draft to sign Bryant, who is 5-9, 175 pounds.
