I don't really sit down and watch hockey, but I will check the NHL page on yahoo for any Penguin info and to check their standings. The of course if they make the playoffs I'll watch those games.

I love the Pens! I can't wait for the season to start, and I really hope Malkin is ready for the beginning of the season. I can't wait to see Crosby and Malkin tear up the NHL, and I hope Gonchar keeps playing as well as I've seen from him in the preseason, that Recchi still plays good consistent hockey while bringing leadership to the team along with LeClair, that Malone finally has a consistent year and reaches his potential, and that the defense improves from last year and Fleury continues to develop into a great goalie.

Hockey is like soccer except every 4 games there is one fight

You got to see those great teams form the early 1990's and the two Cup wins

OH HELL YEAH!!! I was living in East Liverpool, Ohio, which is only 35 miles E of Pittsburgh. My best friend had cable and all, we have a party with pizza and pop chilling in front of the tube. Mario and Jagr going at and carrying the team to the Stanley Cup. Those were some great memories.

I think that the hockey playoffs are the most exciting of any sport. I know most of you would probably disagree but not having to wait each week and games coming down to the last few minutes or going into OT.

I remember some nerve wrecking games I've attended at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit watching the Red Wings play. Let me tell you, talk about nail biting at its finest. I've never been to a Pens game, but would love to go to one.

Hockey playoffs are the best in all of sports. But the new and improved NHL is blah.

I love how there are no regular season ties though.

I can think of nothing better than a game 7 with multiple overtimes, especially if you're at the arena. Especially if the Pens win. Game winning goals in long overtimes in hockey game 7s are probably the greatest moments in all of sports.

May 4, 2001 Keith Primeau scores in the fifth overtime to lead the flyers over the pens in game 4 of the eastern conference semifinals. At the mellon arena. That is why the NHL playoffs are the best.

You can't go wrong with March Madness. Kent State in 2001 pulled the inevitable with an Elite Eight Run and got slammed by Indiana. I will never forget Christian Lattener Buzzer Beater in the tournament. How about Chris Webber ****ing it up for Michigan in 1995? 1982 I believe NCAA Championship game pitting Georgetown against Michael Jordan's North Carolina and him hitting the game winning shot. What about Jimmy Valvano's North Carolina State upset bid to win the NCAA title. I am telling you those are some fantastic moments in sports history. Glad you brought that up, Blitz. :bigthumb:

Peter Nedved's game winning goal in game 7 (I think) against the Capitals in I can't even remember how many overtimes. That, and the 1995 AFC Championship game against the Colts are my top 2 playoff moments. (In terms of excitement, that is)

Favorite post season sports in no order:

NFL
March Madness
College Hockey
NHL Hockey

I'm not much of an NBA fan but I do watch the playoffs from time to time. MLB depends on who is playing on how much I enjoy it. I'd have to say of all the ones listed above NCAA Hockey playoffs are my favorite. Especially if my Maine Black Bears are playing!

College hockey is pretty much nonexistant in places not named New England and the Great Lakes region.

Kent State is damn good in hockey and so is the damn Wolverines of Michigan. Minnesota is pretty much the dominant state for Hockey.
