Steelers defensive end Aaron Smith, who missed the final four games of last season after tearing his biceps muscle against New England in December, should be at full strength for the start of training camp. Smith underwent surgery and is working out in Colorado, agent Peter Schaffer said Tuesday.
"His biceps muscle has been fixed. Our timetable is for him to be 100 percent for training camp," Schaffer said.

Thats great news, considering he is our DL.

He is the most underrated DL in the league IMO, he's a guy that isn't the biggest DE in the NFL but he's got a motor that just won't stop and he can command a double team at any given time.

Yeah and given the fact that we have a 3-4 D just underrates his value even more. Our Run Defense was crap after he was gone. In a 3-4 defense, linemen aren't the focal point. Linebackers are. When the Ends aren't pushing the tackles on their heels, you notice more big running plays. Linebackers rely on DE/DT to open up gaps for them. Smith can still do that. If we can get another year or two out of him, we can mentor a young DE to take his place.
