View Full Version : Brady Quinn should consider asking for trade to Packers

Last April, quarterback Brady Quinn copied the unexpected draft-day round-one slide of quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Soon, predicted Profootballtalk.com predicts that Quinn (or, at a minimum, his agent) will be clamoring to join Rodgers' current team, the Green Bay Packers.

Though he might be fooling himself into thinking that he's got a shot at winning the Cleveland Browns starting job this season, Brady Quinn is destined to open 2008 where he finished 2007 on the bench. After all, the Browns aren't paying Derek Anderson $8 million per year to hold his helmet next to his ear so that he can listen to the play be called in to the huddle.

More importantly, Quinn needs to get on the field in order to unlock the big-money incentives that his agent, Tom Condon, held him out of training camp in order to get. And so while it might be unlikely that Quinn will demand a trade in his own voice, Condon could be contacting the Browns and asking them to explore the possibility of moving Quinn to Green Bay.

They have a upincoming QB in A. Rogers, I doubt GB would even entertain an offer :2cents:

Brady Queer would the the same thing in GreenBay that he'll do in Cleveland, Sit on the Bench. Only difference is, his nuts will be closer to his throat.
The Clowns will off Anderson before long and Brady will start but some how, the Clowns won't get penalized for the cap hit next year:cursin:

It would be cool to see Quinn go to the Packers...because Anderson will choke next year and do no good then the Browns have no one to turn to.

I doubt he goes to Green Bay just for the fact that Aaron Rodgers 1. finally has Favres blessing and 2. looked pretty good against the Cowpatties.

Quinn is hell bent on winning that starting job this year so don't bet on him going anywhere just yet but if he doesn't get it this year then I'd be asking for a trade too.

this year is ok but its next year. for some dumb reason if they keep DA again after this year id be wanting a trade too and they should, your wasting him.

This guy is a complete idiot. He has nothing of value to add to a conversation so he reverts to a 3rd grade level every time. You need to grow the f**k up jerk.

Brady will stay in Cleveland and will be the QB of the future. He will stay right were he is. Anderson is due a 5 mill bonus next March if he is on the roster and we all know that is not going to be paid.

In this day and age you need to have 2 solid QB's on your roster so the Browns were smart to try and get DA to stay atleast for now till they see if Quinn can win the job but with those 2 big salaries no way they'll both be there after 2008. At this point DA would have to practically win the SB to secure that job away from a 1st round pick IMO.

i completely agree with you. this is a 1 year deal. some team will probobly trade for DA if he does great or the browns will cut him if he stinks. either way quinn is our guy in 09.

I would opt to be traded, if I were Quinn. If for no other reason, to atleast speed things along, and make the browns move. I still think since the have now traded away thier top three picks, someone will get dealt. I do not see tham drafting nobody the first day of the draft. Quinns stock could go up if he comes in and plays well against some descent teams. But if he gets just spot work and does not play well, his stock will drop, even if its not a true showing of his talents. If cleveland keeps both, I thinks its a gamble, if Quinn were to beat out Anderson this season, then cleveland will have to pay anderson for nothing, and nobody will pasy that money for him.

Derek Abnderson will be traded on draft day. Mark it down.

I hpe Quinn is the QB of the Browns future just for the fact that he sucks in pressure situations. He choked every year in bug games. :cope: Bring it Clowns:yellowthumb:

Personally I think both of them are overrated. Quinn was in an offense that was perfectly suited for him while at ND, and still choked in big games. Either one though can be successful in Cleveland for about two or three more years, and then the Browns wont be able to afford any of their skill players.
