View Full Version : Browns Derek Anderson wants Tony Romo money?

The Browns have a three-year offer in front of Derek Anderson. The overall contract may be in the $20 million range, but the key number is about $10 million of the deal being guaranteed. Is that enough to convince Anderson to sign? Not sure about that, but the Browns should not go much higher. Not when they have Brady Quinn under contract for four more years at about $4 million annually if he starts, $2 million as a backup. Anderson's agents had their eyes on Tony Romo money, the six-year, $67 million package with about $38 million guaranteed from Dallas. If a team wants to drop that kind of cash on Anderson, so be it. -- Cleveland Plain Dealer

   and why is that, what did he do to deserve that

He better keep dreaming because there is no way he will get Romo type numbers from Cleveland especially after one good year and Quinn riding the bench.

Derek Anderson wanting Tony Romo type money is just funny....lol Anderson had a good season but was helped by Braylon Edwards bailed him out many times this year.....Anderson completed only 57 percent of his passes and threw 19 INTs...lol He struggles also at completing the shorter routes.....

Holy crap, I had no idea he was in the Pro Bowl. I didn't watch it, which is mostly why, but still, why did he deserve to go to the Pro Bowl over somebody like Garrard?

anderson better watch himself or he'll find himself on the outside looking in...the Browns shoud have no trouble letting Anderson walk if he doesn't want that current deal. They've got their draft pick ready to go.
