About 20 laps to go and 2 of the big Hendricks cars are out.
Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson both out of the running.
My man Jeff Burton is running near the front.
Kyle Busch and Tony Stewart look strong!

Newman is from South Bend, IN....I'm only 30 minutes from South Bend....I have never watched a whole race before...My brother was over and I let him watch the race....Still don't know what the attraction is with racing...lol It was boring to me...But whatever floats your boat.......

At least where Nascar is concerned. Other racing types are exciting though like Indy Series and I know Formula 1 (European style of racing) is more fun to watch.
As for Nascar.....................well, one word can describe it..................

I am the exact opposite...i find Formula 1 and Indy much more boring then Nascar...that being said i can't watch an entire race at all, but then again i can't just sit down and watch TV without doing something else ever..except for Steeler games.

Formula 1 and Indy car are both terribly boring. I've tried watching both and they both bored the living crap out of me. NASCAR is some of the best racing ever and I was thrilled to finally have my racing back. It's my favorite sport.
I thought the race was good. The finish was cool, mainly because you had no idea who would win. Congrats to Newman. I don't think anyone expected him to win. My boy Dale Jr. got a top ten and had a pretty good Speedweeks, so I was happy with that.

dodge dominated the standings...what, like 7 out of the top 10, i think...was a great race though...GOPHER CAMwas cool...on racepass, or whatever they call it, it was cool, you could pick witch driver to ride along with and witch radio to listen to...we kept switching back and forth to whoever was in trouble...real cool...no commercials either.

haha well we each have our own opinion and in my opinion, F1 is bar none, the best auto racing on the planet. You're talking about the most technically advanced and fastest racing cars on the planet. Don't believe me? Then try this: an F1 car was put up against a street and went FROM 0 TO 100 and BACK to 0 before a street-legal Ferrari got to 60. How sick is that? To me Nascar is nothing but a bunch of idiots trying to kill eachother while going around a circle at 100 MPH. Not too fun. I mean can you have a wet weather race in Nascar? No. I mean I'm probably not going to cinvince any one here, but F1 really is more exciting.Take the tracks. If you would look at some of the track layouts for F1, they at least have some variety in turns. Actually alot. Some turns like Spa's Eua Rouge (pictured below) offer the same G-force as a Fighter Pilot recieves. (http://www.mad4f1.com/f1-safety/f1-gforce.htm)
Here's a comparison:

VS

Seriously which looks more fun?

Now both are very popular in their respective locations (F1 is everywhere). Both attract large TV audiences and both are like the pros in their respecitve locations. I just happen to be an F1 fan. I think F1 is more exciting to watch, but again this all my opinion.

^ Sorry, but NASCAR is it for me. I tried it and thought it sucked. NASCAR is just so much more competitive and exciting, but that is my opinion. They don't try to kill each other, btw.
I loved the gopher cam. I thought the little gopher was cute. I haven't gotten trackpass yet. Maybe when I get a laptop one day......
