Cowher and Whiz were terrible, but we can thank BC for the dumbass calls ! We should never have been throwing on the goal line nor should we have been throwing as much as we did until the end, when Ben was not having a good game. BC is a defensive guy, he needs to leave the offense to someone else !

Why in the hell were we throwing all the time when Willie was having such a great game. You don't throw it when your QB is struggling and give away a TD. With the game on the line Ben choked !!!!!

it was not whiz....cowher does it all....whiz was proabably trying to put in good plays but cowher over rid everything......it was cowhers decision to put in ricardo and that lost us the game.....it was ours..the benglas players heads were hanging...cowher is a bum...and winning the superbowl was the worse thing that could've happened to cowher...he just doesn't have the fire anymore....i hope bettis is right and cowher leaves

Why do they throw it to Haynes or Nate every play

Most likely because Wilson hasn't done squat and Hines doesn't looked fully healed yet.

I personally don't think Cowhers head is in the game/season right now! Hopefully during this bye week he will do some soul searching and determine if he really wants to continue coaching. There were some greddy calls by both Cowher/Qhiz especially on the goal line when Ben was pciked off... Ben made some greedy mistakes as well...

Why in the hell did we try to throw on that 2nd drive when Ben ended up throwing that INT. We were in the redzone six times today and only got TD's twice. Sure the players (Roethlisberger) might have done something stupid (throw INT's) but all of that is because of bad play calls. They say he's not at 100% strength yet so why are we calling plays where he tries to heave it as far as he can and underthrow it horribly?

All good points...the main thing is, the play calling comes into serious question here. When you have goal to go on the one, and we've been running well, stick with what got you there. Everybody knows we can throw when we want, but we're known for punching it in..the main goal is, get the points and do what works till they prove they can stop it. They couldnt stop the run all day, they stopped the pass all day, yet we remained pass happy way to much. Ben is getting valuable work but it's clear he's not back yet.

The running game was going so well, I thought Cowher would at least stick with the Power Running Game that we are known for. I am so shocked we threw for the End Zone instead of punching the ball in. This is a disgrace.

That is definitely the main point TG...
get the points and do what works till they prove they can stop itIt really goes back to the old saying "If ain't broke don't try to fix it!" The running game was really unstoppable today but trying to get fancy in the red zone it killed the momentum and Cowher wasn't trying to get the points, he was trying to out-think the Bengals when it came to doing what the Steelers do best... handing the ball off and jamming it down your throat!

We've always been about a nonsense offense and defense. We play our game and dare you to stop it. We're one of the best running teams in the league year in and year out, and that sets up the run and good efficiency in the passing game. It's just good smart, solid, fundamental football. That's what we're about. You mix in some gadget plays here and there but generally its a hat on a hat, and lets go to war. That's what we need to do, we're trying to outthink the situation too much and we're shooting ourselves in the foot.

Thats what we need to get back too.
