This is a weird deal I tried and really like

Take a whole chicken and stuff it with Jimmy Deans hot ground suasage wrap in foil place in the smoker and cook it at 250 degrees for five hours. Man that grease out of the sausage realy makes that chicken good

No seasoning on the outside of the chicken at all? No basting? I don't have a smoker.....wonder if you can bake it?

No I dont put anything on the outside and no basting I am sure you could do it in the oven but you wouldnt get the smoked flavor

That's why I think I'd probably need to season it some......

You can use a grill aas a smoker if you just build a small fire in one side then add wood chips.......you could do this after cooking in the oven for a while to get it done then use the grill to flavor it:scratch:

You would never make it down here......Well you've never had it either way so you wouldn't know how good it is. And I'd make it there just fine....I'd just have you cook for me.

Ive made a make shift smoker before from my gas grill...just pull out the burner, get your woodchips and have nice little fire going in there. ;)

You can simply put some water soaked woodchips in a aluminum pan on the side with heat, maybe under the grate if you can. Then place the chicken on the other side. Just a bit of warnign, if you do it correctly it will leave a sticky smoke reidue on the insdie of the grill, not that big of a problem unles you are a clean grill freak. I have a gas smoker from Bass Pro and love it.
