The Baltimore Ravens (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/bal/) search to find a replacement for the fired Brian Billick is expected to focus on current of former NFL coaches the Baltimore Sun reported.
Potential candidates could include Dallas Cowboys (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/dal/) offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, former San Diego Chargers (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/sdg/) coach Marty Schottenheimer, former Pittsburgh Steelers (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/pit/) coach Bill Cowher, New England Patriots (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/nwe/) offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, University of Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz and Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan.
GM Ozzie Newsome said Ryan would be interviewed for the vacancy.

I don't think Cowher will take the Ravens job. I think he's waiting to see what the Panthers do with Fox.

I heard that a lot of Raven players are lobbying hard for Rex Ryan to get the job.

IMO now that the Ravens have fired Billick I would go ahead and break-up that small group of loud mouths/troublemakers who think they're running the show.....starting with Ray-Ray.

My sentiments exactly.....Even though I have always disliked Billick's arrogance, I couldn't believe the lack of respect his players showed for him and his coaching staff this season. Hopefully, they do a full house cleaning in the off season......

"Potential candidates could include"

Now way Cowher even talks to them.

Yeah Rex Ryan is high on their list but they are looking at a ton of different people so they won't name anyone anytime soon according to Adam Schefter on NFLN.

No way Cowher takes this job, he'll wait another year before he decides to go back to coaching. I thought maybe he'd want to come out this year and coach again but he seems pretty content having his cushy job on CBS.

We all saw what happened when a team rallied behind who they felt should get the job ;) I could really care less who the Ravens hire as long as it's not Cowher!

Personally I think Cowher is having a great time commentating and I don't see him coaching anytime soon. Too much stress when he can have a blast on the show!

I agree. He seems to be more comfortable and having more fun than at the beginning of the year. He's doing a much better job than I thought he would.
