As people in the area I'm sure have heard (and even a national audience) there was a shooting and 5 Duquesne basketball players were injured, one seriously. They were 3-24 last year but expected to be much better this season. Hopefully everyone comes through all right.

One guy was shot in the head and is in serious condition. They said the bullet is still lodged in his skull.

yeah I heard about this on The Herd this morning on ESPN radio ! That's just terrible !

What is the word on all the kids who were shot? I remember that one of them was very seriously injured at the time. Haven't heard much about their condition since.

Here's an update:
One of them who was grazed by a bullet is back playing.

The other 4 are sitting out but all of them are up and walking and 2 of them have started working out again.

The most seriously injured is going to be OK and might be able to start playing again near the end of January.

So this story has a good end and no one's life is going to be seriously hindered.
