smh..........espn is filled with bitches..........

Talk about cutting straight to the punch line. It took Jimmy Kimmel just one night to do what Dennis Miller needed two years to accomplish getting the heave-ho from "Monday Night Football."

ESPN will no longer allow Kimmel any guest appearances on MNF after the ABC late-night host made several jokes about recently-fired analyst Joe Theismann, The New York Times reported Wednesday.
Kimmel, who joined Mike Tirico, Tony Kornheiser and Ron Jaworski in the booth during the third quarter of the Giants' 31-10 win over the Falcons, joked about where Theismann was, insinuated that Kornheiser got Theismann fired (their on-air chemistry was often a topic of debate last season), and later remarked, "I'd also like to welcome Joe Theismann, watching from his living room with steam coming from his ears."

Kimmel's comments were "classless and disappointing," said Jay Rothman, ESPN's MNF producer, according to the Times. "It was cheap. The more he went on, the worse he got."

Reached by the Times, Theismann said he was more amused than annoyed by Kimmel's comments.

"I don't have an opinion about what people say, but it's nice to know you're missed," Theismann said. "It's interesting that people remember me."

I don't like Kimmel, but he was right. Theisman sucked on MNF.

MNF has gone so far downhill since the days of Frank, Al, and Dan that it's just never been the same no matter who has been there.

they should just have Korheiser and Wilbon

They all suck. Kimmel was just pointing it out. The terribly produced PTI segment , TK just learning football, and whoever those other 2 jokers were.
Theisman was horrible. He unfi=ortunately got hurt too soon in his carrer and has a lot of unresolved hostility. He does not belong in the booth, maybe angry in a barber shop or bar, yelling at the tv.And by the way,
"I don't have an opinion about what people say...Who can't form an opinion? So many hits to the head he can't form a point of view?

Which talking head would you put in there?
how 'bout Acheman, or Buck. They seem to add intelligent commentary without the b*LLsh#*! Madden and Michaels used to be good, but Madden has just become a charicature of himself.

Thanks Jimmy, I enjoyed it thoroughly!

Monday Night Football has not been the same since Cossell, Merideth and Gifford in my opinion.
Those were the days. I can do without the opening acts, Hank Jr and the others, the music alone back in the day when Cossell did the highlights of games, during halftime, was awesome and fit perfectly. It's turning into a carnival act and taking away from the game.

Oh and Theisman was an a$$. So are most of the others that call the games.

Did anyone think the "Tom Brady impregnating two super models" comments were a bit out of place?

I didn't see MNF last week but I usually like Jimmy Kimmel and I'm sure I would have thought his comments on Theisman were no big deal...I was glad to see Theisman go!

I may be an old grandma but I thought The Man Show was hilarious!

For a man banned from the most famous sports television property in history, Jimmy Kimmel seemed to be holding up fine Wednesday afternoon.
"Technically, couldn't you say Joe Theismann has also been banned from Monday Night Football?" Kimmel told SI.com in a phone interview from Los Angeles. "If he showed up, they probably would not let him in. I was hoping to get banned from a casino first, but I suppose it's satisfying in a way to be banned from any television show. I don't know what I did exactly but apparently it was horrific."

I never cared for what Theisman was saying, but I liked his voice... It made me think of night games. I guess it was because of his time with Mike Patrick on Sunday night football before his Monday night job.

I miss Keith Jackson's voice on Saturdays too... kinda weird, I know. :o

"classless and disappointing," "It was cheap. The more he went on, the worse he got."
Hey guy, that's what it's all coming to. Either get hip or find another job. People love Kimmel just as they do Letterman and Leno.
This is why ESPN sucks. They can't equal and are making a poor effort. Monday Night Football has not been the same and these second stringers are killing the game.
I believe that it's past time to end MNFB. Why not let the owners and coaches have a say in the Monday and Thursday games and give all the players the same amount of rest between games.
This game was created to give ABC a shot at the game. Why don't we just have four networks show a game on Sundays and call it NFL Football Sunday.

Even though there's certainly a controlled "violence" to the game, kids see football from the time they're old enough to walk, but it's a bit tougher to have younger kids watching and asking in the middle of a game what "impregnating" means...

I dunno, IMO, I feel there's times and places for everything, and MNF (or any other football game) isn't the time or place for that. There's all kinds of other shows it would've been more appropriate on.

By the way, I agree with your assessment of him--he's got MUCHO dinero which can make a person overlook alMOST anything

For myself, I'm glad there's two nights of football. We have a 6-7 month drought of new games all year, and I REALLLLLY look forward to those two nights a week. I love keeping up on who's playing how well, besides, even if it's not the Steelers, I'll take what I can get lol

I wasn't a Theisman fan by any stretch but the "Moronic Babblings" of Tony Kornheiser just plain Suck!!

At least Theisman tried to talk about football and the game that was being played at hand.......all Kornheiser does is make stupid commentary on a lot of fringe issues some of which have nothing at all to do with football.

Kornheiser is a Big Bag of Wind who happens to be a half-assed Sportswriter in his spare time and was brought into MNF so he can try and reach fringe football fans and is an absolute insult to the regular every day fan who is actually trying to enjoy the game and wants some insight on the game being played.
