New Steelers Encyclopedia, a must have for the Steeler Nation

We are excited to help our good friend Chuck Finder promote his newly released, no doubt soon to be best selling book, The Steelers Encyclopdedia. Chuck is not only an author but he also covers the Steelers for CBS Sports Rapid Reports, and is the man behind the @CBSSportsNFLPIT Twitter account. His updates help keep the Steeler Nation in the know on gameday and all year round. He’s also worked for the New York Times and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. To say that Chuck is qualified to write about the Steelers is an understatement to say the least.

Chuck is a regular on our Blitzburgh Radio Podcasts, talking Steelers football and has been giving us updates on the progress of the book since last year. You can hear more from Chuck in our most recent showIt’s a real treat to talk to Chuck on a regular basis and we thank him for his continued support of our show and friendship with the site.

He’s been putting out exerpts on his blog, ChuckFinder.com since March 2011, so if you haven’t been following those updates you’ve certainly been missing out but there’s no time like the present to head on over there. Be sure to follow him on Twitter as well, @CFinder.

Several local media outlets in Pittsburgh have scheduled Chuck to join their shows to talk about the book, as he mentions in his most recent blog update: KDKA this Sept. 8-10 opening weekend. . . opening, that is, for the Steelers’ season and “The Steelers Encyclopedia.” KDKA-AM’s Johnna Pro has me scheduled for 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, and Rob Pratte for 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9 (for my third appearance on his “Black and Gold Sundays” show since February). And I’ll be on KDKA-TV’s “Pittsburgh Today Live” between 9-10 a.m. Monday.

Chuck has compiled nearly 100 interviewees for the book, including the likes of Bill Hillgrove, Mark Cuban and Gene Collier just to name a few. After reading a short form of the book, Gene gave Chuck a great compliment, saying that he learned a lot about Art Rooney Sr. that he didn’t know before. This from the guy who wrote the play on him!

So even the most hard core Steeler fan, the guy who seemingly knows every fact of every player of any era, will find The Steelers Encyclopedia an amazing read and will surely walk away saying, “Wow, I didn’t know that”.

The new Steelers Encyclopedia makes a great gift for any Steeler fan and you can pick it up on Amazon  for a great price!

Huge congrats to Chuck from all your friends at SteelerAddicts.com
