Steelers give teams permission to talk to assistants, Olsavsky and Goodwin

 
The Steelers have given persmission to Tampa Bay to talk to Defensive Assistant Jerry Olsavsky. They’ve also given persmission the Colts and Bears to talk to Offensive Assistant Harold Goodwin.

Jerry O, as the Steeler Nation affectionally refers to him as, played for the Steelers from 1989-1997 as a Linebacker and special teams ace. He has an extensive background having coached linebackers for 7 years at Youngstown State. Olsavsky has been with the Steelers the last 2 seasons as a defensive assitant, helping to oversee all aspects of Dick Lebeau’s group.

Harold Goodwin has been with the the Steelers for 5 years now working mainly with the Offensive Line. He also though does help with tape breakdown, scouting of opponents, and generally assists the offensive coaching in game preparation.
