According to our friend, Chuck Finder at CBS Sports: Former Texas A&M QB Jerrod Johnson announced on Twitter that he signed with the Steelers as part of the 80-man roster buildup. Johnson hasn’t experienced much professional luck. He was drafted last year by a United Football League team that went defunct, and signed with the Arizona Rattlers in September – after their Arena League season.
According to Adam Caplan on Twitter, the team also signed Kade Weston, 6-5, 317, DT, Georgia. to a reserve futures contact. The Steelers originally had him in for a workout on January 7th.
Former TCU Wide Receiver Jimmy Young was also signed to a futures contract. Young is 6′ 204 lbs. He was originally picked up by the Chicago Bears but cut after a short stint with the team.
